I'll be honest, I can't tell if Insom and Damakos's posts are sarcasm or not directed at my post. My wife can attest that I'm just completely missing any and all sarcasm today anyway, so maybe I'm just having an off day on that regard. I kinda got Insom's part, until he started talking about 200-600 each, then I'm "wat?".

As for the "always online" aspect, they are leaving it up to the game devs as to whether each game will require you to be online or not. You can bet your life savings that every EA game in future making will require it (they've already said so), and unless they make saving to the cloud free, then the only thing a game has to do is "save to the cloud" rather than save locally for it to be considered an "always online" required game.

As far as the "craigslist gold" idea is considered with games, I'm not that familiar with too many console games being "pirated" in the same aspect as PC games, if anything it's only a percentage.

Also, I'm guessing that this will kill Gamefly or any like-minded business. Not that I've ever used it, but I've heard good to semi-decent things about it. Without a major change in their business model, this would essentially cut 1/3 of their available products. But then again I guess that's Microsoft's whole idea. If any of you work in a used game retail store of any kind, best start looking for new jobs now, hard copy video games are sold at a set price, so there is no money to be made there if they can't sell used games. I can only really see two options for Gamestop and other companies will have in this matter: 1. Reduce the price of each used game for Xbox by the amount required to "reactivate" each game, or 2. Say fuck it and everyone who has an Xbox will have to pay X amount of dollars more each time they buy a used game that is multiplatform.

Here's hoping Sony doesn't derp and do the same stupid shit Microsoft is doing. Although they probably already are.

I'm loving the whole "no used games" anymore idea. Just you wait, eventually everyone else in the world who has these same issues will catch on and it will be fair for everyone! Including but not exclusive to: Cars, homes, furniture, cloths, electronics, movies, music, lawn equipment, and tools. Pretty much everyone and everything except food, health, and hygiene. Man, developers and game companies just have it so bad.

Xbox isnt allowed in my home. Personally I don't think Microsoft should have stuck their noses in the console gaming world to begin with, but that's like saying Hitler should never have gotten into politics, that fact aint gonna change no matter what we do. I'm no Playstation, Nintendo, or PC fanboy by any means, I just hate Xbox. And if that video is anything remotely close to what the actual release event was like/about, then I feel extremely justified in my personal stance on the product.

TLDR: Fuck Xbox, I wouldn't take one if it were free.

Also, this:

On a side note, remember the days when gaming companies built consoles so you could play video games? DAMN, them were some good times! Although I can't wait to see which gaming system will be the first to have a history that has a direct comparison to MTV's history. INB4 we start buying houses based on which console interface it has built in, Nintendo, Playstation, or Xbox.

Well, it's a new(ish) take on a game console I'll give them that. The specs don't seem to be too bad, the 8 gig storage space is mega low considering this is download only, especially when storage memory is relatively cheap now a days. But hey, for $99 I guess it isn't too bad. Can't say I'm a big fan of demos myself, but I'm interested to see how this will turn out.

I can download, reduce master volume, and re-upload if need be.

So basically this thing is a giant demo machine? Free unlimited demos and then after you try it and like it you can buy the full version?

Good for you man! I too am currently dealing with "the run around" bullshit with my wife's hopefully future (and also current) employer if that makes sense. Don't worry, your former boss will get her comeuppance, they always do. Shitty employers really have no place in this world, but unfortunately they will always be around. Time for you to have a fun and relaxing summer!

There is a steam version, so which streamers want to do it? I know arach and possibly Aqua

Best thing to do would be directly ask each streamer

RDMT: Arach's giggle pitched down is Pickle.

Sorry, don't know how to select segments.

It's screen caps with cropping in an image editor.

My only wish is that IG centered AP's should never be removed. We need more of them tbh (which I am working on doing).

I could actually see making a few videos out of this one, with the games that are known (Mario, Donkey Kong, Super Smash Brothers, Kirby, Final Fantasy, etc).
