I've been on this site for the past three months and I figured it's about due time to put up my introduction.
I'm a 28 year old male gamer from Wisconsin. I got a Nintendo at age 4 for Xmas from my grandma/grandpa. Played it non-stop. Anyway, I've owned a NES, Genesis, Master System, original Gameboy, PS1, PS2, and Xbox 360. Fast forward to now and I am currently enrolled in an education program. I will start student teaching next semester. At the end of that I'll graduate with a dual major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education with a dual minor in History and Broadfield Social Sciences. I have an automotive degree, a two-year business degree, and also another two-year general education degree. I spend most of my Xbox 360 time playing online multiplayer games (Castlevania HD, Battlefield 3, and Gears of War) and the rest of my time playing roms (just beat Simon's Quest last night and started Dragon Warrior this morning).
My best friend of 28 years [yes, we were born 4 days apart and have been best friends since] and I play game all the time, albeit if you ever met us you would not easily be able to figure that out. So, I'll share two of my favorite gaming memories with you all. First, we cut to 1989. My best friend and I are raiding his parents room, searching for Xmas gifts. We found Mega Man 2! We begged for days straight to let him have it sooner...and we eventually got our wish! So, if a streamer is ever lacking a game, I will always suggest Mega Man 2. Second memory: we're about 12 or 13 in 96/97-ish. We're playing a dual-to-the-death game of Tecmo Bowl. I'm up by 6 and intercept the ball, while running it back he gets all "You're not going to win!" and jumps on me. This pulls the NES off the shelf and resets the game. He declares that he never lost because the game didn't finish. I still bring it up to this day that I'm the Tecmo Bowl champ. Good times.
